Gand, Belgium
Belgium might be a "small" country by its size, its history is very rich and its beauties are numerous (Bruxelles, Bruges, Gand, Anvers, Liège, Namur ...).
In 2005 I discovered Gand, which is a brilliant city, dynamic and cultural. The old part of the town (castle, Beffroy, old streets ...) is rather small, which gives it an extremely sympathic atmosphere.
A place I liked most particularly there is Graslei and Korelei (Grass wharf and Corn wharf) in the city center, with very old houses (12th century), nice cafés and terrasses...
