Hangzhou : LongJing Tea
In the mountains surrounding the XiHu lake, very close to Hangzhou, is located a small village named LongJing. This village is very famous thanks to its tea, known to be the best green tea in the world : LongJing Tea.
Last october, I had a long walk in the mountains, going through tea plantations. It was absolutely great, peaceful (it's hard to find a peaceful place in China hehehe) and refreshing. I stoped at a villager's house to taste some tea : she was very nice, explained me the origins of the tea in the region (in chinese of course :) ), and finally sold me some hehehe.
